S IMMO: PepsiCo signs on as a tenant at Sun Offices
International cooperation leases 2.100 m²
S IMMO AG has gained another internationally renowned tenant for its Sun Offices building in Bucharest. The beverage company PepsiCo will move into roughly 2,100 m² of modern office space.
PepsiCo Romania is part of PepsiCo Europe, leader on the food & beverage market in Europe. In Romania, PepsiCo owns three production facilities for beverages and one for snacks.
“We are particularly pleased to welcome PepsiCo, one of the most reputable international corporations, to Sun Offices. The modern office space at Sun Offices will provide PepsiCo’s employees – besides the benefits of the shopping centre – with an efficient, comfortable environment to work in,” said Friedrich Wachernig, Member of S IMMO AG’s Management Board.
According to Viorel Opait, Corporate Services Director from Colliers International, the real estate agency that mediated the deal, the move is highly important for the entire area. “Pepsi was familiar with the South of Bucharest, as their former office was also located in this area. Also, Sun Offices has good traffic connections and this was a major advantage offered by the location. By providing this solution we tried to align the vision of the top management with the needs of the employees for which easy accessibility was a key factor”, stated Opait.
Sun Plaza opened in 2010 and is the largest shopping centre in Romania. Sun Offices offers roughly 9,000 m² of office space on three levels above the centre. The units can be adapted to the individual needs of the tenants and offer state-of-the-art equipment and security systems. Other tenants in Sun Offices are Uniqa, EMCT and Siepcofar Farmaciile Dona.
