S IMMO AG is cooperating for the 6th time with the Wiener Kunstsupermarkt

On 18 October 2012 the Wiener Kunstsupermarkt is opening its doors for the 6th time at Mariahilfer Strasse 103, one of S IMMO AG’s properties. With the theme of „making art affordable“, the Kunstsupermarkt offers original works of art at favourable prices.

S IMMO AG as a long-term partner
Stock exchange listed S IMMO AG provides the Kunstsupermarkt with premises in the sixth district. In this regard Friedrich Wachernig, Member S IMMO AG’s Management Board, says, „Long-term cooperations are not only important in our day-to-day activity but also in working together with the organisations we support. We are proud to be able to offer the Kunstsupermarkt our premises in 2012 at Mariahilfer Strasse 103 for the sixth year in a row.“

Real artwork for bargain hunters
During only 10 weeks last year over 30,000 people visited the Viennese Kunstsupermarkt. Due to the rush, the Kunstsupermarkt is starting three weeks earlier this year. Art enthusiasts can therefore marvel and acquire the more than 5,000 original pieces of artwork from young to renowned artists from all over the world for an entire three months. The spectrum ranges from drawings to watercolours, acrylic and oil paintings to photographs. The prices are in the ballpark of EUR 50 to EUR 299.

Contemporary art for everyone
The Kunstsupermarkt has greatly contributed to the popularity of acquiring originals. Furthermore, not only bargain hunters and collectors are excited about the market, but also people who have not yet gotten involved in art previously finally have access to real pieces of contemporary art. In cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture, school classes can finally book free guided tours within the scope of the “Wien Aktion” for the very first time. Art historians give insight into the world of contemporary art and the art market. The artists use their works of art to describe their methods of operation.
