S IMMO AG celebrates ten years of Arcade Meidling
Several attractions in celebration of the anniversary
On 18 September 2014, stock exchange listed S IMMO AG, will celebrate the ten-year anniversary of its multi-purpose centre Arcade Meidling in Vienna. The building is located on the corner of Meidlinger Hauptstrasse and Eichenstrasse in the 12th district and opened in September 2004.
Arcade Meidling offers roughly 6,000 m² of space spread out over two floors and features a balanced industry mix with anchor tenants including Müller, Spar, McDonald’s and Esprit. The building is also home to the Meidling Music School and the second-largest branch of the Vienna Public Library. Above the shopping centre is office space. The City of Vienna signed a long-term lease for roughly 4,000 m² of space in 2012. Arcade Meidling benefits from its excellent transport connections (metro, commuter railway, tram, bus and the Badner Bahn railway) and also offers customers and tenants 178 parking spaces in its public underground garage.
Friedrich Wachernig, Member of the Management Board at S IMMO AG, had the following to say about the ten-year anniversary: “Arcade Meidling is one of our particularly impressive success stories and we are very pleased with its development. Since opening, the shopping centre has seen a constant increase in visitors – most recently, roughly 5.6 million visitors annually – and its shops have more than doubled their turnover since 2004.”
Late-night shopping and additional attractions in celebration of the anniversary
In honour of its ten-year anniversary, Arcade Meidling is offering its customers a variety of attractions:
• Late-night shopping until 9:00 pm on Thursday, 18 September, and Friday, 19 September 2014
• A live performance by young musicians
• Numerous anniversary specials at various businesses
• Face painting for kids at McDonald’s from 18 to 20 September 2014, 2:00 to 5:00 pm
• Dancing, music and a magic show
• Walking show flash acts and much more.
