The Marriott Hotel in the centre of Budapest was built in 1969 according to a design by the famous Hungarian architect József Finta and taken over by the Marriott hotel chain in 1993. It has been part of S IMMO AG's portfolio since 2005. The property, which has about 27,600 m² of usable space and 364 rooms, is geared primarily towards business travellers and offers its visitors a unique view of the Danube River.

UNESCO World Heritage Site

Budapest Marriott Hotel was the first international hotel in the Hungarian capital. The entire side of the hotel facing the riverbank is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel offers 17 meeting rooms with a total of 1,700 m² of space. Other highlights include the DNB Budapest Modern Hungarian Wine Bar + Kitchen restaurant with its terrace on the Danube promenade, the Liz and Chain disruptive bar. The spacious Marriott Fitness and Health Club is the perfect place for guests to relax and unwind.

S IMMO as operator

Budapest Marriott Hotel is operated by S IMMO via a management contract. S IMMO is therefore not only the lessor but also the operator of the hotel, so it is counted as the company’s owner-operated property.
