A complex with a history

S IMMO acquired the property on Siebenbrunnengasse in Vienna’s fifth district in 2015. The centrally located complex was constructed in several stages between 1914 and 1950, consists of four sections and offers usable space above ground of more than 18,000 m² for its users. 

Apartments planned

The existing buildings are currently used as office and commercial properties and parts of them are still to be used in this form in the future. Two-thirds of the available building stock will undergo extensive renovation and will subsequently be repurposed as apartments. The location at the heart of Vienna’s up-and-coming fifth district has good infrastructure and the construction of a new section of underground line U2, expected to be completed in 2023, will provide an excellent connection to Vienna’s city centre. 

Künstlerhaus as interim tenant 

Owing to the general refurbishment of the Vienna Künstlerhaus art museum, a suitable alternative location was sought for the duration of the renovation work. Siebenbrunnengasse 19-21 was chosen as the interim location for the renowned art institution. For two years starting from autumn 2016, the Künstlerhaus will be opening its doors to visitors in Vienna’s fifth district.
