S IMMO AG promotes future talent
S IMMO AG supports Austrian real estate training programmes through two cooperation projects.
The exchange listed real estate investment company S IMMO AG is promoting future talent in the industry and supports Austrian real estate training programmes through two cooperation projects. The real estate master’s course at the Danube University Krems visited Board Member Friedrich Wachernig at the beginning of June as part of the Meetings with Top Managers event series. The students will also complete a project week in Berlin in the autumn in cooperation with S IMMO Germany. And S IMMO is supporting the OeAD’s Green.Building.Solutions summer academy with a scholarship.
The students from the real estate master’s course at Donau Universität Krems spend one project week a year in Berlin, and are given the opportunity to view the company’s buildings and gain insight into the German real estate market in discussions with employees. In a concluding project, the student groups develop an optimisation concept for parts of the S IMMO portfolio in Berlin. The winning project is honoured with the S IMMO Award. In addition to this project, the students also visited Board Member Friedrich Wachernig in June to ask questions and to learn about S IMMO and Mr. Wachernig’s various experiences in a relaxed atmosphere.
S IMMO is also supporting the summer academy of the OeAD Wohnraumverwaltung for the first time. Five universities are offering a short master’s level course for 35 international architecture and construction students in Vienna for the third time already. S IMMO AG is supporting the summer academy with a scholarship to allow students who are highly qualified but do not have the required financial means to participate in the course.
Friedrich Wachernig comments the cooperation projects: “Promoting real-estate specific education is highly important for our company. We support our employees with their further training financially and by giving them the necessary time so that our team is always equipped with the latest theoretical and practical expertise. And developing future talent for our industry is crucial.”
